Walkies and Swimmies

Hey folks!

We went walking in the mountains on Saturday this last weekend, and we took Hannah along with us for a bit of adventure in the wilderness. We went up to the "Shihshan Recreational Area" which is about an hour away by scooter.

Here is the hiking party hugging the trees in a tree house. Hannah is also here in Taiwan teaching English, except she is a qualified teacher and is working at a government school in Hsinchu. She hails from Florida, USA! Peace out Taiwan style!

The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout.

Down came the rain, and washed the spider out.

Out came the sun, and dried up all the rain.

And the itsy bitsy spider went up the spout again.

This is an amazingly clean mirror on the road, it was so amazingly clean I could not believe it!

We are intrepid! And we EXPLORE!

This is a little forest critter which we met while journeying along the path. Contrary to the opinions of my hiking comrades this fella was merely stunned by a wrong turn he took while exploring the woods. I believe he has made a full recovery and it now experiencing all that the forest has to offer him. The comrades were far more MORBID in dealing with this chaps situation...

Shock, horror and surprise; the wilderness in Taiwan has it all.

Being the "working men" that we are, it was time for a bit of a trip to the barbers. This place is so slick: you put your money in the machine at the door and it gives you a number. 100NT for 10mins of cutting! There is not much verbal communication going on, but hand gestures and worried expressions got us some sweet looking do`s!

On Sunday we headed to the sea just down the train line, at a place called Chiding.

Watch out! It pricks!

We found a beach by chance, because we went to have a look at the wind turbine and then just wandered over some dunes. There was no-one else on the beach! So we had a very exclusive beach experience, which afforded us the opportunity to hone our product branding skills.

The water is warm, the beach is entirely un-clean with lots of trash ( which make for great advertisements!) and we had a swell ol' time.

As you can see, we are wearing our essential and delightful swimming caps, to keep our hair in tip top shape.

We are also exhibiting our great guns and golden brown tans.
